Sadika Clarke, Supervisor of Community, Culture, and Wellness
As Supervisor of Community, Culture, and Wellness at Southern Westchester BOCES, Sadika Clarke’s work is grounded in the New York State Education Department’s (NYSED) Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education Framework. With a focus on fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments, Clarke leads initiatives that build capacity in trauma-informed practices, mental health awareness, social-emotional learning, and school climate & culture. Her responsibilities extend both internally within SWBOCES and externally to provide support for member school districts. Bringing over a decade of experience in education, Clarke is deeply committed to “whole child” education. She has been instrumental in the growth of programs that support inclusive learning communities and the psychological safety for all students. Clarke co-leads the SWBOCES Regional Crisis Response Team (RCRT), whose function is to build the capacity of the mental health professionals in the region to effectively respond in the aftermath of a school crisis. As a champion of equity, Clarke serves as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Coordinator for Southern Westchester BOCES. In this capacity, she leads the development of the organization’s DEI Strategic Plan, collaborating closely with the DEI Committee to achieve the objectives outlined in its DEI Policy. Additionally, Clarke co-leads the Center for Professional Learning and Curriculum Support’s DEI Leaders’ Network and its successful annual DEI Summer Institute. Clarke holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Communications from Hampton University, a Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Lehman College, and an Advanced Certificate in Educational Leadership from the College of Saint Rose.
