With over two decades of dedication to education, Michael Setaro has become a cornerstone in fostering academic excellence and holistic growth across the Hudson Valley. His journey encompasses a rich tapestry of experiences, from his beginnings in special education to assuming pivotal leadership roles in various educational domains. Mike's commitment to students is evident in his diverse roles, including Principal, Chair of the Committee on Special Education (CSE), Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Coordinator, and Chair of the Social Studies Department from Kindergarten through 12th grade. His versatile expertise extends beyond traditional realms, delving into crafting comprehensive professional development programs in MTSS, data analysis, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), and curriculum design and alignment.

The foundation of Mike's career was laid in his early focus on special education, particularly dyslexia. This initial passion has since blossomed into a lifelong dedication to supporting students and staff from diverse backgrounds, emphasizing systematic wellness and holistic development. As an advocate for educational advancement, Mike has left an indelible mark through his published works and frequent presentations at regional and national events. He tirelessly champions for students' needs, leveraging his vast knowledge and experiences to drive positive change within educational systems.
