Carlos Sanchez, The Hudson Valley Regional Bilingual Education Resource Network

Executive Director of the Hudson Valley RBERN department of Southern Westchester BOCES, Carlos Sanchez is responsible for ensuring his team provides support to each district and school while fostering and sustaining a trusting educational environment for ELLs. This entails engaging every student in meaningful teaching and learning experiences while embracing diversity and providing opportunities for all children to achieve at the highest levels. Carlos, and the HVBERN team are committed to delivering high-quality professional learning and technical support to assist districts in developing their capacity in ELL Education. He previously served as a dual language and ESL teacher, school administrator and Director of Curriculum Instruction and Assessment at SWBOCES. Carlos holds a Master’s of Science degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Albany, and received an Advanced Diploma for School District Leader paired with a Staff Development Certificate in Administration and Supervision from the College of New Rochelle.
